Course Description

This program builds a strong foundation in anaesthesia technology, enabling students to select appropriate anaesthetics for patients based on their medical needs.
They also gain essential knowledge of the proper equipment to use and how to determine accurate anaesthetic dosages.
An added skill acquired is patient monitoring. Students are trained to assist doctors in ICUs, emergency rooms, and operation theatres. They function as vital allied health professionals.
The primary goal of the B.Sc. Anaesthesia Technology course is to develop expertise in anaesthetic tools, their application, and patient monitoring methods.
Through a mix of theory and practical training, students are prepared to become efficient anaesthetists, applying their knowledge in surgical settings.
Teaching focuses not only on anaesthesia procedures but also covers essential skills related to the overall functioning of operation theatres.
This ensures students are industry-ready and capable of supporting surgical teams effectively before and during medical procedures.

Objectives

  • Build a strong foundation in anaesthesia and learn to select anaesthetics based on patient conditions.
  • Understand the correct equipment to use and determine the right anaesthetic dosage.
  • Develop monitoring skills and assist physicians in ICUs, OT, and emergency rooms.
  • Gain insight into anaesthesia tools, how they work, and ways to monitor patients.
  • Study both practical and theoretical content to become expert anaesthetists.
  • Learn OT procedures along with advanced anaesthesia-related techniques.

  • Handle and manage anaesthesia machines whenever needed in clinical settings.
  • Administer anaesthetic medication to patients before surgical procedures begin.
  • Track and monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after surgeries.

  • Serve as Anaesthesia Technologists in various multi-specialty hospitals.
Eligibility: 12th Pass with PCB or PCBZ & 10th Pass with 2 Years Diploma in relevant field
Duration: 3 years + 1 Year Internship
